Biography
Dr. Petra von Heimburg is an extremely rare indivudual: she is both a practicing dentist and a practicing attorney. She understands the business and legal issues that confront dentists today and she works as an attorney and consultant exclusively for dentists. After receiving her DDS degree from Northwestern University in 1980, she founded a general dental practice in the Chicago suburbs which became extremely successful during the 10 year period before she sold it. Thereafter she attended John Marshall Law School in Chicago and received her Juris Doctor degree in 1995. For a period of three years, Dr. von Heimburg served as an attorney with the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, specializing in licensing and regulatory matters affecting dentists. More than 10 years ago she started the Barrington Law Office of Dr. Petra von Heimburg, P.C., which is dedicated exclusively to representing dentists.
