Implants have become a common part of the general restorative practice. This lecture will outline the steps involved in providing a variety of implant treatments, from planning to completion. Communication between the dentist, laboratory and the surgeon will provide the key to success. Hygiene maintenance and patient care will be covered as a routine procedure. Every staff member and laboratory technician should participate in implant discussions, from options to fees, to benefits and risks. Each staff person's role will be covered and example situations will be explored.
Biography
Dr. Scott Lingle has performed implant suregery and implant prosthetics in his general practice for over twenty-five years. He has served as a consultant with a number of different companies on both implant fixture design and prosthetic component design. He has been a clinical trial evaluator for implants, prosthetics, and bone grafting materials. Dr. Lingle has lectured on implants across the country, but still maintains a full-time private practice, with a primary focus on implants, in St. Paul, Minnesota.
